The Fluorion nCoV-19 QLP 2.1 Real Time PCR Kit is an in vitro diagnostic kit for the qualitative measurement of SARS-COV-2 RNA in oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal swab specimens and sputum samples.

PERFORMANCE
Fluorion nCoV-19 QLP 2.1 real-time PCR kit is based on the real-time PCR principle. Pathogen detection is performed by fluorescent dyes incorporated into oligonucleotide probes. The assay utilizes the 5'-exonuclease activity of Taq polymerase to cleave a double-labeled fluorescent hydrolysis probe during the extension phase of PCR.

The N1 and N2 genes are amplified with sequence-specific primers and detection is performed using the FAM filter pair. An endogenous internal control is integrated into the system to control PCR inhibition. The endogenous internal control is detected during data acquisition using the HEX filter pair

DETECTED VARIANTS
The Fluorion nCoV-19 QLP 2.1 Real Time PCR Kit detects SARS CoV-2 virus independently of these variants, as mutations in variants B.1.1.7 (UK), B.1.351 (South Africa), P.1 (Brazil), B.1.525 (New York), B.1 .429 (California) including the delta variant (India, B.1.617.2); and 478K, which bbrrnur with the delta variant (India, B.1.617.2) and similar variants do not overlap with the primer/probe region.
