CLUNGENE Covid-19 Nasopharyngeal Antigen Rapid Test
The CLUNGENE Covid-19 Antigen Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunoassay for the qualitative detection of acute SARS-CoV-2 infection. The rapid test is supplied with all necessary accessories and can be performed directly at the point of care. The test result can be read as early as 15 minutes after application of the patient sample. No cross-reactivity with influenza viruses or the human corona virus (229E, OC43, NL63, HKU1) was detected.
For the detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid antigen, a nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swab is taken during the active phase of infection. For this purpose, a swab is inserted through the nostril and a swab sample is taken from the posterior nasopharynx. For the oropharyngeal swab, the swab is inserted into the posterior pharynx and tonsil area and rubbed over both tonsillar columns and oropharynx.
The Clungene Covid-19 Antigen Rapid Test is on the list of the BfArM and is therefore reimbursable according to the "Verordnung zum Anspruch auf Testung in Bezug auf einen direkten Erregernachweis des Coronavirus SARS-CoV-2".
